Artifact Identification Betel Nut Carrying Case (2004.11.0002)

Visual Description Basket weave. Medium brown. Base is rectangular; Opening is much narrower, and concave. Sides of basket are woven very tightly, with small strips of weave, forming diagonal patterns. Areas surrounding base and opening appear braided, and are reddish brown. There is a long, twisted, tan cord attached to the basket.
