Artifact Identification Shuttlecock for Peteca Game (1990.10.0188)

Visual Description Shuttlecock composed of stuffed vinyl ball and feather plume. The ball is comprised of six triangular pieces of vinyl in multiple colors and patterns: red, white with black linear designs, dark brown, light brown, and black. Each panel is stitched together to form a cone. The dark brown vinyl circular bottom is stitched onto the cone and the inside stuffed with unknown material to make it solid. The small circular top opening is filled with pink and yellow dyed bird feathers and secured at the top with a cotton string.
