We LOVE Thank Yous!

We LOVE Thank Yous!

April 16, 2004

Chelsea’s Letter
Chelsea drew a picture of a kimono. The class's tour included time in the Asian Cultures Gallery and the focus exhibit on Heian Court dress.

Each year, the Spurlock Museum's education staff and docents present tours and outreach programs to thousands of schoolchildren. We connect with students of all ages and interests, and we love it. The best tours and programs, though, are the ones that don't end with a "goodbye" at the front door. They're the ones that end with an envelope bulging with thank you cards in our mailboxes a few days later.

In thank you cards, students tell us the most exciting things they saw (our Egyptian mummy and Plains Indian tipi are always mentioned) and the favorite thing they did. They sign the cards "Sincerely" and "Your friend," and we know they mean it. Here are just a few examples of cards we received from a great class that toured the Museum this fall.

Hannah’s Letter
Thank you, Hannah!.
Kurtis’s Letter
Our friend, Kurtis, had a great time at the Museum.
