On November 15th, the Spurlock Museum celebrated the opening of the “Korean Dolls: A Celebration of Life” exhibit by hosting a Korean doll making presentation. Artisan Soon Oak Kim and her daughter Hee Jung demonstrated the doll making process. A mesmerized assembly listened as Mrs. Kim explained such details as what kind of paper to use, how to make the glue, the history of doll making, and much more.

The Korean dolls will be on display until March 31st, 2004, in the Museum’s lobby exhibit. To learn more about Korean dolls at the Museum, please visit Korean Dolls, A Celebration of Life.
