Employment Position Description

Title/Position: Registration Assistant

The Registration Section at the Spurlock Museum is accepting applications for a part-time undergraduate student assistant. The position will be contributing to the registration and documentation of the Museum’s artifact, teaching, and photographic collections. Tasks may include cataloguing and photographing collections; scanning images; data entry; and photocopying and organizing records. The assistant may be asked to assist or oversee volunteers working on related projects. The proper candidate must be detail-oriented and computer savvy with excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills. Experience or interest in museums, anthropology, history, library and information science, or art history is preferred. Experience with digital photography, Adobe Photoshop, File Maker Pro, and Mac systems is a plus. Federal Work Study is preferred.
