Position Opening:
Illustrator/Graphic Artist

We are seeking a UIUC student who is interested in partnering with us for a publishing project through the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) and Rowen and Littlefield Publishing.

Thematically, we are interested in approximately 40 illustrations that capture a retro futurism/mid-century space style similar to this Amazing Retro-Futuristic Sci-Fi from the 1950s (external link) style from Moss and Fog; clean like style Genndy Tartakovsky; and the vibe of Fallout’s Vault Tec. Illustrations will be visual aids to a story narrative about Emergency and Disaster Response at Museums. Logos and small graphics might also be needed.

Preferred Skills:

• advanced illustration skills
• an ability and willingness to collaborate, edit, and meet hard deadlines
• experience with InDesign, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator

Pay:

In addition to professional work experience, contributor credit and $20 per hour for a maximum of 200 hours.
